“Okay where do I even begin? I have done a 2 reiki sessions, a mentorship call, and her online Reiki course. I reached out to Violet for the first time for a reiki healing in January of 2020. I had met violet at a beauty convention back in 2018. I started following her as a beauty professional which led me to follow her spiritual wellness account on Instagram. Fast forward to January 2020. I had just had my son and was experiencing a whirlwind of different emotions as a new mom. These feelings were what I would associate with postpartum depression. As someone who tried for three years to get pregnant I did not understand why I was feeling so low after getting what I finally wanted. I knew I needed to do something to get my life and emotions back on track and to be completely honest I did not want to go to someone that would tell me to just take an antidepressant. I was breastfeeding and I wanted to try something different. I noticed violets reiki healing attunements kept popping up in my feed. At the time I had never heard of it, but thought if it keeps popping up maybe it was a sign and I should try it. So I did. I called her and got a reiki healing, not fully understanding what it was or what was to come in the future. One week later I met an incredible mentor & coach. 4 weeks later I opened my own salon with a 3 month old baby...what in the world?!? I NEVER thought that would be a path for me but everything just kind of fell into my lap, and extremely fast. I truly feel like this reiki healing allowed the right people to come into my life and help teach me and discover my own goals, and what manifested from this was something beyond my wildest dreams. One of my questions for her was “when do I need my next reiki session.” Her answer was, “when you feel called to.”
At first I didn’t really understand what that meant until maybe 2-3 weeks ago. With everything going on in the world today I felt like there was a “switch” in me that went off. As a hairstylist I am working on people daily and noticed my emotions going haywire. Even on social media I found myself experiencing a lot of anxiety. It was like feeling my emotions as well as everyone else’s emotions 10x’s as strong. I knew these emotions were not all mine and that’s when I finally reached out to violet again but this time for guidance.

I like that there are videos too so you can see it, hear it, and read it. The meditations are really opening me to healing and discovering new things about myself and my journey. I have been journaling with these techniques and meditations daily. I feel like I am on the right path to a better understanding of myself. It’s a journey, definitely, but one I am grateful for.
